Day 1: Suryanelli
It begins from the Silent Valley Estate which is about 20 kms from Munnar. The trek goes up to over 2600m as you pass over the rain forests and grasslands. The area also abounds in wildlife – mostly sambar, sloth bear, elephants, and the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. As you reach Meesapulimala, the second highest peak in the Western Ghats, you can breathe in the scenic beauty of the panoramic plains of Tamilnadu and also see the world’s highest tea estate Kolukkumalai below. You can visit the Kolukkumalai Tea Factory which is located in one of the world’s highest organic tea estate while descending. Trekking through the rainforests and grasslands you can camp at Suryanelli which overlooks the splendid Anaerangal Lake below.

Day 2: Mathikettan Shola
Today the trek will be through the Mathikettan Shola National Park. This rain forest preserved and protected from all development by environmental activists, retains its pristine beauty. The destination at Santhanpara is a place amid the lush vegetation and quaint villages around the cardamom cultivation. Passing through the forests where cardamom, coffee, and pepper are grown, you will reach Santhanpara by afternoon. Elephants are a common sight here.

Day 3: Depart after Breakfast
This day marks the end of your trekking adventure at Munnar. According to your preference we can arrange a drop for you to Munnar or Thekkady at an extra cost.
