Day 1: Alleppey

Today, you will meet up with our kayaking guide at Alleppey who will brief about your kayaking tour and safety procedures required for Kayaking. You will start paddling into the remote countryside bordered by the villages and coconut trees. The daily lives of the locals, the hardworking farmers, children going to school, the serene ambiance, and the chirping sounds of water birds capture the essence of the Kerala villages. You can also see some wooden canoes transporting people, vegetables, fish, livestock, and home appliances from one place to another. After stopping for lunch at a scenic place, you will be taken to a cozy resort on the backwaters.

Day 2: Champakulam

On day 2, you will be taken to the island of Kavalam paddling through the canals of Pulinkunnu. Kavalam was the headquarters of well to-do agricultural families. The homes you see here are grand and majestic and here too you can experience village life where farming, fishing, shell collection, and duck rearing are the most important means of livelihood. If lucky, you will also be able to see the traditional toddy tappers on coconut palms. After having lunch at a coconut grove, you will kayak and reach an elegant home where a traditional dinner awaits you.

Day 3: Nedumudy

Your destination today will be a heritage villa situated along the backwaters. You will have excellent opportunity to see village life at close quarters where you can find the locals engaged in their day to day activities. The vast expanse of water, the friendly local people and their lifestyles which you get to experience in close proximity are bound to mesmerize you. By noon, you will cruise into the beautiful heritage villa, situated on backwaters. Here you can enjoy delicious Kerala food and a well-deserved rest. You also have the option to go on village walks.

Day 4: Muhamma

Today, after having breakfast at the backwater homestay, you will Kayak towards another ancestral home situated on the backwaters. As you kayak through the palm-fringed backwaters, you will be fascinated by the beauty and serenity of the backwaters and realize why it has become world famous and attractive to millions of tourists visiting this area. Enroute, you will have a picnic lunch and after lunch, you can either continue kayaking on get onto the motor boat or enjoy the cruise till you arrive at your destination. Spend your rest of time relaxing at the backwater homestay.
